On the 8th we made the short trip from Emerald Bay Marina to Elizabeth Harbor. It was quite a shock to see a spot that normally has 100 to 250 boats at anchor with only three. However, unlike last year all the resorts are open and operating full of guests. The locals say the cruisers usually start arriving after Thanksgiving. Our crew Darryl took up residence in the St. Francis Resort and his bride Tracy flew in to join him after wrapping up the annual meeting of our home club as the outgoing Commodore. The resort has little cottages on the Exuma Sound side of Stocking Island with spectacular ocean views. Yesterday we picked up Darryl & Tracy and took the dinghy into Georgetown for lunch, provisioning, and procuring a new data sim card. Afterwards we hung out on the boat to enjoy the scenery and cool breeze. The forecast calls for rain tomorrow and Friday so we will enjoy some time roaming around today.
