Ready for nasty squalls at Monument Beach

There were two other sailboats in Elizabeth Harbor, Great Exuma when we arrived here. After a week we now have nine. The two boats that were already here had interesting routes making it. The first, Bella Dawn, left from the Florida Keys to Bimini, was reported missing and was the target of a coast guard search. It turns out the skipper hit a storm and was blown off course here to Exuma. Here is his story in the Miami Harald. The second are YouTubers Sailing Zola, which seem to have it all going on as pilots, a bikini model, divers, and live aboard cruisers at age 23. I wish I had that much motivation when I was 23. Hopefully we run into these crews ashore and hear their sea stories. In other news, hurricane season is now officially over since Florida State defeated the Hurricanes Saturday. It looks like we have some nasty weather for the next few days, so we are taking refuge at the Monument Beach anchorage today.
