The unusual northerly wind shifted to the northeast so we moved across the sound this morning to Prickly Pear Island for better protection from the swell. Latter in the day we went ashore and were surprised by a flamingo flying overhead as we docked. We walked over to the island salt pond at got a picture of this solo bird. In real life it looks much pinker than the photo. We continued our walk and saw the reconstruction underway for the Sandbox Bar and Saba Rock. We plan to go to Anegada Sunday when the wind is expected to switch to the East.
