On the fourth we departed Current Island which did a good job protecting us from a 28 to 40 knot front that lasted for over two days. As you would guess, the big wind blew everything out so we motored south around 30 miles to Governor’s Harbour in two to three knots of wind. Governor’s Harbour is one of the most beautiful harbors we have seen so far in the Bahamas. Our boat neighbors keep having to reset their anchors but we lucked out and got a grab on the first try. The small town has a grocery store, some restaurants, a laundromat, a produce stand, and all sorts of other amenities. Everyone in a car driving by waves hello and people you meet on the street greet you with a smile and good day. We might use this as a base to do some exploring.
