Boysie Cay

Our anchorage behind Boysie Cay

Today we started our journey north from the George Town base camp with its dockside provisioning and sheltered 360 wind/wave protection. During our exit of the harbour, we approached the island supply ship (known in the Bahamas as the mailboat) near the entrance cut. We slowed down to a near stop to let it through so neither of us risked running aground in the narrow channel. We sailed NW today on a tight reach in lumpy seas to the Rat Cay Cut. The cut was pretty narrow, but we made for it as low tide approached. We anchored in clear water and sand behind Boysie Cay. We are in a big case of the rolls right now. The wind is forecast to clock south and die tonight so we expect the rolls to cease in a while. The light south winds are expected the rest of the week so it may be spinnaker time soon!

We are right next to the ocean so rollers are coming through until the wind shifts
