We enjoyed a fast beam reach of 70 NM north to Governors Harbour, Eleuthera. Only a few boats have anchored for the night in the harbor since our arrival. I have always thought this was a somewhat unique settlement in the Bahamas due to its older buildings and trees that remind me of Key West. Back in the day it was the Bahamas first capital. We walked up the road to a place called Bacchus for a tasty lunch of a Greek and a fried goat cheese salad. We have little wind for the next few days so we will probably motor sail up the coast tomorrow.
