We have really enjoyed our time here in Gloucester Point. We were able to catch up with our Virginia friends Harry, Heather, and Mike. The Marina has a complimentary SUV (with 200K miles) so you can run errands to West Marine and the grocery store which was very convenient. We have been able to get back into a running routine that we hope to continue in Georgia. Jim has re-bedded some deck hardware, handrails, and a hatch stopping some small leaks, waxed the cabin top, and changed the engine fluids/filter and impeller. For the first time ever we hired a diver to clean the bottom because the water is too cold for Jim’s thin wetsuit! Amy has been trying out some new recipes and enjoying helping boats tie up at the fuel dock next to us talking to sailors about their cruising plans migrating south. Our current plan is to leave on the 3rd for Georgia and you can track our progress on the “Where is Renegade?” tab. Unlike the trip North, we have to hug the shore going South to stay out of the Gulf Stream.
Time to Head South
